When the phone rings and it's Chris Brown's management asking you to design the moto gear for a music video — you answer. Then you get to work.

This one came straight from the top. We got the call directly from Chris Brown's team to design and build custom motocross gear for an upcoming music video shoot. No middle-man, no off-the-shelf kits — a full custom moto build, exactly the way Canvas does it.

From the first conversation, the brief was about look and attitude as much as performance. The video leans dark, cinematic and a little dangerous, and the gear had to match that energy on camera while still functioning as real, rideable motocross kit for the riders pulling stunts on set.

Designed for the Screen

We handled the design end to end — colorways, graphics, fit and finish — dialing in a look that reads on camera under stage lighting and fire. Because every Canvas set is built to order, we could tailor the gear specifically to the shoot instead of forcing the production to work around what already existed.

The result: a fleet of riders kitted head-to-toe in matching custom Canvas gear, lined up on set and ready to ride through the night — flames, stunts and all.
